    On this 10days/9nights journey, you will travel back in time but also arrive to the present Tanzania, experience a delicious blend of cultural and gastronomic exploration. It’s an opportunity specially curated for our curious traveler who seeks to explore the coastal, rural and urban lifestyles, history of the ancient forts, traditions, nature, cultural and festive scenes.

    A city known for its diversity in people which is reflected in the culture: the city boasts international cuisine ranging from traditional Tanzanian barbecue and Zanzibari food to Thai, Chinese and American restaurants. A multicultural city, home to African Tanzanians, Arabic and South Asian communities, British and German expatriates, Catholics, Lutherans and Muslims.


    Day 1-2 (Jul 6th)

    Welcome to Dar es Salaam

    • Departure on July 5th and Arrive at Dar es Salaam airport
    • Pick up to head to your new Swahili city home
    • Relax and experience life as a local at COT house.

    Day 2 (Jul 7th)

    Meet and Greet

    • Meet and greet over Swahili breakfast 
    • Explore the diverse city of Dar es Salaam and its coast.



    Day 2 (con't)

    Welcome Dinner

    • Indulge in various cuisines including Swahili local  cuisine.
    • Return to a welcome dinner with live cultural entertainment




    We will spend a night at Saadani Game Reserve is one of the few wildlife sanctuaries bordering the sea. It offers the unique combination of both marine and mainland flora and fauna in a historically and culturally fascinating setting. Elephants have been rumoured to bathe in the Indian Ocean off the Reserve’s coast, green turtles come to its beaches to breed, black and white colombus monkeys frolic in the canopy of the evergreen Zaraninge Forest.


    Day 3-4 (Jul 9-10th)

    Sadaani National Park

    • Explore the spectacular wildlife on land + while cruising river Wami
    • Visit a local community  and one of the largest salt factory 
    • Relax the night away camping style near the beach.

    Day 5 (Jul 11th)

    Historical Tanga

    • Drive thru villages & towns   
    • Visit the famous caves
    • Dine local restaurant
    • Meet local communities
    • Get your hand dirty in local culinary experience. 


    Day 6 (Jul 12th)

    Usambara Mountains

    • Explore the Lushoto region
    •  Hike the mountains to the famous view point
    • Village to village + Market Tour
    • Road trip back to Dar Es  salaam



    known as the largest multi-disciplinary art and cultural festival in Africa dedicated to the exhibition of films, music and artistic panoramas. This nine day festival takes place in July each year. Bringing together people from different corners of the world to enjoy African Cinema. ZIFF is said to be marked with strong traditional customs and a rich heritage of culture with music, traditional dances, and arts and crafts woven throughout.


    Day 7 (Jul 13th)

    Historical Tour

    • Immerse yourself in local Swahili culture
    • Discover the old stone town on a walking tour
    • Travel back in time on a historic and slave tour



    Day 8 (Jul 14th)

    Beach Day + Film Festival

    • Tour a seaweed Factory
    • Relax on white sand beaches
    • Dine at a breaktaking secret restaurant
    • Return in the evening to see films and meet actors and directors at the film festival.
    • Celebrate with an after party 

    Day 9 (Jul 15th)

    Impact Day

    • Meet and share stories with Tanzanian high school and college students
    • Relax on white sand beaches
    • Enjoy the Film Festival in the evening + After party.



    Day 10 ( Jul 16th)

    Farewell Dinner + Departure day

    • Depart from Zanzibar on Ferry to Dar es Salaam
    • Go souvenir shopping and local market tour
    • And lastly share a farewell dinner with our friends of friends and families.
