Next Level Tourism: Culinary in Tanzania

Sometimes the best experiences are the ones that offer a chance to get your hands dirty while tasting the best cuisines a destination has to offer. From catching your own meal, going on local market tours or celebrating with the farmers on a farm to Table experience, here are unique culinary experiences you must include while visiting Tanzania.

All-in-one Local Market Tour

No matter where you travel, one of the best ways to experience local life is to explore the local fresh market. Markets are not only where things are sold and traded, but they are also where people congregate to socialize, meet friends, and eat.

Above picture taken inside Darajani market in Stone Town. Getting to famous local market, after walking around the narrow lanes of Stone Town, is sort of like emerging from a cave. Going to the local markets is a fantastic way to learn about the culture of Zanzibar cuisine, spices and to observe local life. Its a must visit when in Stone Town.

Farm-to-table gone wild

There are so many opportunities to experience a country. More than just a trend, the "farm-to-table" concept not only offers food that is delicious, but also brings people together while supporting local farmers. Imagine adding in a campfire, listening to live traditional music while dancers take the floor, over looking the beautiful sunset over the hills.

This is the COT farm to table experience, we look present an opportunity to gather together with international and local chefs, foodies, bloggers, and neighbors to celebrate food, share recipes, tips, have fun and connect on a unique food and nature way. This experience is usually done on a farm, outside of Dar es Salaam city.

Unforgettable Bush Dining experience

After the safari game drive, arrive at the chosen location with fabulous views across the plains. The experience begins with traditional relaxing music under the Acacia Trees proving a wonderful natural ambience preferred by people who would like to have an exciting , unique HOT LUNCH in the middle of nowhere as compared to the cold packed picnic boxes. The experience provides an unforgettable combination of hospitality and most of all spectacular scenery of dining with the animals
