This photo was taken about ten years ago, just before we set out to hike Mount Kilimanjaro. I remember that trip so clearly. I was joined by two incredible women who were strangers at the time, yet became instant friends the moment they landed.

It was one of our very first adventures.

Stephanie and Mel said yes, to traveling with a woman who was just beginning to rediscover her homeland. Step by step, just like that climb, I’ve continued this journey forward.

Truthfully, it felt like the blind leading the blind. But even then, there was a small light within me, one filled with hope.

I’m beyond grateful that you both said yes. That single decision gave me the courage to keep going and the confidence to dream bigger.
